Honoring Every Story, Remembering Ours

Saga began with Jack Coulter and his family’s experience of care. His son, Chris, founded the company with a commitment to knowing residents as people, with histories, routines and relationships that remain important when care needs change.

Our journey began with a deeply personal experience. “My dad, Jack, was a force of nature,” shares our founder, Chris Coulter. “When Dad developed frontal lobe dementia, everything changed. And, in his final days, we realized he wasn’t receiving the attention and care he deserved.”

That heartbreaking experience inspired a promise: to create something better. Our name, Saga, reflects this journey: a long, involved series of events, filled with ups and downs. It’s a tribute to every family’s search for the right place for them, and a way to celebrate every resident’s unique story.

Knowing a person takes time and attention. At Saga, a resident’s routines, interests and preferences help shape daily support. Families bring important knowledge, and their involvement helps the team understand the person beyond a list of care needs.

Our communities offer care tailored to different needs:

  • Independent Living: Freedom and an active social life, with everyday conveniences like meals and housekeeping close at hand.
  • Assisted Living: Support with daily tasks while nurturing independence.
  • Memory Care: Specialized programs focused on safety, engagement and dignity for people living with dementia.

We want every community to be full of laughter and shared moments, and we want families to feel confident that the people they love are truly valued.

His Legacy, Our Promise

“I couldn’t rewrite my dad’s final chapter. But I can honor it every day by making sure no family feels the way we did. This is his legacy. And it’s our promise to you,” said Chris.
