Barton House is a dedicated memory care community in Scottsdale. Residents have private studios, help with daily routines and a team trained in dementia care on site around the clock. Music, gardening, movement and other activities are adapted to individual interests and abilities. Respite stays are also offered.
Music, gardening, movement and conversation give residents different ways to take part. Familiar routines and activities adapted to individual abilities help the team support each person through the day, including time outdoors.
Families often worry that a move will take away the things that make the person they love who they are. Here, the day is shaped around each resident: their routines, what they enjoy and the pace that feels right.
Knowing what someone enjoys helps the day feel more familiar. The team learns each resident’s habits and interests, then adapts activities and support to their abilities and care needs. There is time to take part and time to rest.

Morning
Coffee and conversation in the living room.

Midday
Music, puzzles or a guided movement session.

Afternoon
Time in the raised garden beds.

Evening
A quiet hour by the fireplace.
Meals
Residents get three chef-prepared meals a day, plus snacks. Families are welcome to join for a meal anytime.
A hydration station keeps drinks and snacks within reach through the day.
Barton House is dedicated to people living with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia. A team trained in dementia care supports residents around the clock, with personal care plans informed by needs, routines, interests and family knowledge.
Private studios give residents a space of their own. Meals, housekeeping and laundry are part of the community's services, alongside activities such as music, gardening, movement and conversation adapted to individual abilities.
Families can stay involved through visits and by sharing the habits and preferences that help the team get to know their loved one. Respite stays are also offered for caregivers who need time to rest, travel or recover, subject to care assessment and availability.

Barton House offers respite stays, from a few days to several weeks, for family caregivers who need a break, are traveling or recovering, or want to see whether memory care is the right next step.
During a respite stay, your loved one becomes part of daily life in the community, with meals, activities and support from the same care team. Care is planned around their needs, with familiar routines and interests shared by the family.
Medicare does not pay for room and board in memory care, including respite stays. Call the community for respite availability.

Free financial guidance
You do not have to work out the payment options on your own. Saga works with Elderlife Financial, a SilverAssist company, to offer a free consultation about savings, a home sale, insurance and potential benefits. An advisor can help you understand which options may fit your situation. Learn more about paying for senior living.

Saga began with a family’s experience of care. When Chris Coulter’s father, Jack, was living with dementia, his care fell short of what he deserved. Chris founded Saga with a commitment to knowing each resident as a person: their needs, their routines and the life they want to keep living.

At Barton House, a favorite song or a familiar routine helps the team get to know the person they are caring for.
