A day shaped around each resident

Families often worry that a move will take away the things that make the person they love who they are. Here, the day is shaped around each resident: their routines, what they enjoy and the pace that feels right.

Knowing what someone enjoys helps the day feel more familiar. The team learns each resident’s habits and interests, then adapts activities and support to their abilities and care needs. There is time to take part and time to rest.

      Our story

A lifetime of stories. A place to belong.

Saga began with a family’s experience of care. When Chris Coulter’s father, Jack, was living with dementia, his care fell short of what he deserved. Chris founded Saga with a commitment to knowing each resident as a person: their needs, their routines and the life they want to keep living.

      Questions families ask

      About Barton House

What is the difference between memory care and assisted living?

Assisted living provides help with everyday tasks. Memory care supports people living with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, with a secure setting, familiar routines and staff trained in dementia care. Barton House provides memory care only, with support available around the clock.

How much does memory care cost at Barton House?

Pricing at Barton House depends on each resident's needs, so the team will walk you through it after a conversation or a visit. The monthly rate includes your private studio, three meals a day, 24-hour memory care support, housekeeping, laundry, wellness programs and activities.

When is it time to consider memory care?

There is rarely one clear moment, and every family's timing is different. Families often start looking when someone they love gets lost in familiar places, misses medications, is no longer safe cooking or driving, or seems more confused or unsettled, or when a family caregiver is worn out and needs support too. Our team is glad to talk it through with you, with no pressure, and a tour can help you picture daily life here.

Does Barton House offer respite stays?

Yes. Short stays, from a few days to several weeks, are available for family caregivers who need a break or are traveling, and for families who want to try memory care before a longer move. Call (480) 719-0268 for availability and pricing.

      Is Barton House secure?

Barton House is a secure memory care community with enclosed outdoor areas, giving residents places to spend time outdoors with support based on their needs. The team can explain how access and supervision are managed.

What types of memory loss does Barton House support?

Barton House supports people living with Alzheimer's disease, vascular dementia, Lewy body dementia, frontotemporal dementia and mild cognitive impairment. Each resident has a personal care plan based on their needs, history and preferences.

      What makes Barton House different?

Memory care is all we do. Our team is trained in dementia care and gets to know each resident's routines, interests and preferences to help plan daily support. Private studios, meals, activities and respite stays are part of the community's offer.

How do families pay for memory care?

Many families use private funds, the proceeds from a home sale, long-term care insurance or VA Aid and Attendance benefits. The team can walk you through options during your tour.

      Can we tour before deciding?

Absolutely. Visit in person, come for lunch, or join a live video tour if you live out of town. Call (480) 719-0268 or tap Schedule a tour on this page.
